[“AlucChem”], and its specialty calcined and tabular alumina business, AluChem and the Company, after due consideration, have jointly decided to terminate the Equity Purchase Agreement due to extended closure delays beyond the control of either party. Hindalco’s broader strategy of scaling high-value, technology led value-added products (VAP) in its specialty alumina business remains unchanged, and the Company will continue to evaluate opportunities, including in the United States, consistent with this strategy. AluChem will continue to independently serve their customers across the specialty alumina value chain, as they have been doing for the last 48 years.
