However, owing to limited resources, vis a vis orders received, CDPLC had requested MDL (Holding company) to offer necessary comfort to the BG issuing Bank. Accordingly, back-to-back Standby Letter of Credit (SBLC) facility has been arranged for the bank in Colombo to enable it to issue BGs in favour of CDPLC’s clients as and when, it is required. SBLC issuance charges, taxes and directly attributable costs (including out-of-pocket costs) shall be borne by the company, to be reimbursed by CDPLC with a markup of 10%.12500000000In case CDPLC defaults to honor the BG, the liability will come to MDL being back-to-back SBLC provider.
