Mr. Darshak Mehta has worked as a senior retail and multi-site operations leader with over 31 years of experience across large-format retail, cash & carry, mall leasing and operations, food services, hospitality, and B2B operations. He has spent the major part of his career with Reliance Retail from Store Manager of its first hypermarket in Gujarat to Vice President & Business Head, where he was leading operations for 170 Metro M2 (cash & carry) stores together with mall leasing and food services for Reliance Malls. His earlier career includes leadership roles in family entertainment centre development (Fun Republic/E-City Entertainment), hotel operations (Hyatt Regency, Holiday Inn, Inder Residency), and general management in BPO/back-office operations. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (Finance) from the Symbiosis Institute, Pune (2004); a Hotel Management degree from Shannon College of Hotel Management, Ireland (1987); and a Hotel Management Diploma from B.K. Somani Polytechnic, Mumbai (1983). He was a recipient of recognition from the Comité Interprofessionnel du Vin de Champagne (1986) and was a winner of the All Ireland Management Game, Dublin (1985).
