The media had reports that Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd may buy a stake in Swaraj Engines Ltd.

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.

Swaraj Engines Ltd has vide its letter inter-alia stated," With regard to the news item appearing in the media relating to buying of additional Equity shares of Swaraj Engines Ltd. by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., kindly be informed that we have no knowledge of any such deal."
