The media had reports that Japan's Kokuyo Company Limited may buy a stake in Camlin Limited.

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company.

Camlin Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "As a matter of policy the company does not comment on any speculative news items until it reaches any definitive stage."
