The media had reports that Reliance Industries Limited is buying Hotel Leela Venture's business park in Chennai.

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the companies.

Reliance Industries Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "No agreement has been done to buy Hotel Leela Venture's business park in Chennai as reported".

Hotel Leela Venture Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "We would like to clarify that the Company has not yet entered into any definitive agreements for sale of the property either with Reliance Industries Limited or any other party. The Company and its senior management continue to evaluate proposals and will make announcement to the Stock Exchanges and investors as and when appropriate".
