News about Reliance Communications Limited

The media had reports that Reliance Communications Limited may acquire UK-based global mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Vanco.

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.

Reliance Communications Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "We wish to inform you that the company is not connected in any manner for origination of the said report published in the media. The company has already submitted media release in this regard."
