The media had reports that "EIL bags $139m Nigerian deal".

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company.

Engineers India Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "EIL approached M/s Dangote Group to offer its services for their forthcoming project. Discussions in this regard were concluded and the agreement was initiated on 21st November, 2013 for a lumpsum value of US$139 millions."
