The media had reports that "TechM, HCL eye $350m stake in Geometric".

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company.

HCL Technologies Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "The Company, in the normal course of its business, evaluates businesses and opportunities in and outside India for inorganic growth. In the background, it is respectfully submitted that no event has occurred that has triggered an obligation for the Company to make a disclosure under Clause 36 of the Listing Agreement."
