NSE Increases Shareholding in NCDEX to 15%

National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) as an original promoter of National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) had an equity stake of 15% in NCDEX which was reduced to 10%. Pursuant to regulatory changes allowing stock exchanges to hold up to 15% in commodity exchanges, NSE has now acquired an equity stake of 5% which takes its total shareholding in NCDEX back to 15%. NCDEX is a nationwide, technology driven, on-line commodity exchange with an independent Board of Directors and professional management.
