Market-wide Position
Limit in IFCI
The derivative
contracts in the underlying IFCI have crossed 95% of the market-wide position
limit on March 22, 2007. It is hereby informed that all clients/ members shall
trade in derivative contracts of IFCI by offsetting their existing positions
till the open interest comes down to 80% of the market wide position limit.

The media had reports that Amtek Auto Ltd may
acquire casting and forging units in
The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or
otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market
place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the
officials of the company.
Amtek Auto Ltd has vide its letter inter-alia
stated, "In this regard, we wish to state that the company does not
comment on rumours and speculative market reports. The said news item is
without any inputs from the company. Further, we would like to state that as a
company, we are looking at various acquisition targets but nothing has been
finalised yet and in future, if and when any acquisition takes place, the
company will make the requisite disclosures."
