News about Rei Agro Limited

The media had reports "Credit Suisse sues Rei Agro".

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company.

Rei Agro Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "This dispute with credit Suisse pertaining to a Loan of USD 115.5 million provided to Ammalay Commodities JLT, Dubai (Wholly owned Subsidiary of REI Agro Limited). The matter now is sub-judice before the High Court of Singapore.

Further, REI Agro vehemently denies the allegations made in the said news articles against REI Agro and some of its promoters. REI has done no wrong and has always acted in the best interest of its Shareholders and Creditors.

REI Agro has not yet been served with the proceedings in Singapore in accordance with the laws and REI Agro Shall take all steps in accordance with the law in order to defend itself before any court to safeguards itself and the interest of its Shareholders and Creditors."
