The media had reports that "Vicat in Talks to buy Out Ally in Cement JV".

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company.

Sagar Cements Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "We wish to deny the contents relating to our company in the said news item, which are speculative in nature. In this connection, we wish to confirm that we are not aware of any information that has not been announced to the Exchanges which could explain the movement in trading."
