Market-wide Position Limit in IFCI

 

The derivative contracts in the underlying IFCI has crossed 95% of the market-wide position limit on December 17, 2007. It is hereby informed that all clients/ members shall trade in derivative contracts of  IFCI by offsetting their existing positions till the open interest comes down to 80% of the market wide position limit.

News about Phoenix Lamps Limited

 

The media had reports that Phoenix Lamps Ltd may acquire lighting business of Surya Roshni Ltd.

 

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.

 

Phoenix Lamps Ltd has vide its letter inter-alia stated, “We wish to submit that the Company has not entered into an MOU or any negotiation with Surya Roshni limited (Surya) to buy its lighting division. The Company has only bought two old and closed auto lamps manufacturing machines from Surya in the normal course of business valued at Rs. 1.38 crore.”

The media had reports that Phoenix Lamps Ltd may acquire the lighting business of Surya Roshni Ltd.

 

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.

 

Surya Roshni Ltd has vide its letter inter-alia stated, “Neither the Company has received any proposal from the Phoenix Lamps ltd. as reported, nor there is any such proposal for sale of lighting division of the Company.”
