Industries Limited
The media had reports that Aarti Industries Ltd. may
merge with Aarti Drugs Ltd. Further, a major drug maker may take up an equity
stake in the company.
The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or
otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market
place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the
officials of the company.
Aarti Industries Ltd. has vide its letter inter-alia
stated," We seek to clarify that there is no such merger proposal under
active consideration of the management of both the companies. Further, as
regards reports on rumours of picking up equity stake by any drug major in the
Company, we deny the same as baseless rumour. Nevertheless, it is further
clarified that, consideration of any such merger proposal in future may not be
ruled out. The Company would certainly comply with all the disclosure
requirements applicable under the Listing Agreement in relation to any
proposals, which will be price sensitive."
