News about Suzlon Energy Limited
The media had reports that Alstom is in talks with Suzlon Energy Limited to buy REpower, a subsidiary of the company.
The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company.
Suzlon Energy Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "We wish to clarify that we do not respond to market speculation or rumours."

The media had reports that a consortium comprising Tata Power Co. Ltd and SN Power Norway is in talks to buy a significant stake in hydropower project in Sikkim from Sarda Energy & Minerals Limited.
The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company.
Sarda Energy & Minerals Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, “We would like to inform you that there is no such proposal pending at the board level for consideration. However, in normal course of business we receive/ make proposals for investment in various projects / opportunities. It is premature to comment on the news item as there is no concrete proposal at this stage. Further, the company is regularly exploring the various available business opportunities. As and when any concrete proposal is placed before the Board, necessary intimations are given/would be given to the appropriate authorities".
