The media had reports that Shilpi Cable Technologies Limited may merge with Microqual.

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company.

Shilpi Cable Technologies Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "We wish to clarify that discussion relating to the purported merger of Microqual and Shilpi Cable is at very initial stage. And no concrete decision has been taken by our company in this regard. We are in process of convening a board meeting to in principally consider the matter. Due intimation of the aforesaid board meeting will be given to you in the course of time."
