Market-wide Position Limit in TRIVENI

 

The derivative contracts in the underlying TRIVENI have crossed 95% of the market-wide position limit on October 12, 2007. It is hereby informed that all clients/ members shall trade in derivative contracts of  TRIVENI  by offsetting their existing positions till the open interest comes down to 80% of the market wide position limit.

The media had reports that Gitanjali Gems Limited may acquire a leading US based jewellery retailer for around $100 million.

 

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.

 

Gitanjali Gems Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated,"As of date Gitanjali has not yet finalized any new acquisition in the US. While the Company is actively seeking for retail acquisitions in the US and other countries abroad, it is still in the process of studying various Companies, their merits and demerits, etc and no deadline has been set for the acquisitions. If and when such an acquisition comes through, we shall confirm the same to the Exchange."

The media had reports that Jai Corp Limited may raise a venture capital corpus of Rs. 40,000 cr through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Urban Infrastructure Venture Capital (Pvt) Ltd.

Jai Corp Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "The contents of the aforesaid article is categorically denied by us. As on date Jai Corp has invested Rs. 0.50 crores in Urban Infrastructure Venture Capital Pvt. Ltd and not in any individual city as is made out in the article."
