News about Kingfisher Airlines Limited

The media had reports that Etihad Airways is set to buy stake in Kingfisher Airlines Limited.

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company.

Kingfisher Airlines Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "We would like to clarify that the Company is in discussion with various investors, including Etihad Airways, for equity investments in the Company. However no agreement has been reached either with Etihad or any other airline and the matters are merely at negotiation stages".
