Clarification by Essar Oil Limited

Substantial increase in trading volumes has been observed in Essar Oil Limited.

The Exchange, in order to ensure that investors have latest relevant information about the company and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company.

Essar Oil Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "There is no reportable significant development in the operation of the Company which requires disclosure of price sensitive information under clause 36 of the listing agreement".
