The media had reports that US-based International Paper is in talks to buy West Coast Paper Mills Limited.

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company.

West Coast Paper Mills Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "We deny the same and in case of any development, which has bearing on the operation/performance of the company including price sensitive information, then we will inform you as required under the Listing Agreement."
