Infrastructure Limited
The media had reports that GMR Infrastructure
Limited may acquire a coal mine in
The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or
otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market
place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the
officials of the company.
GMR Infrastructure Limited has vide its letter
inter-alia stated, "Company has not given / shared any information to the
media about acquiring coal mine in

Industries Limited
The media had reports that Reliance Industries Ltd
has closed five of its seven polyester and petrochemical units at Patalganga.
The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or
otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market
place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the
officials of the company.
Reliance Industries Ltd has vide its letter
inter-alia stated, "There are no plans currently to shift any plants from
Patalganga to Nagothane. The PTA and LAB facilities are currently operating at
full capacity in Patalganga. Some of the polyester plants are shut for routine
maintenance and enhancing product capabilities. We expect to restart from this
month. The Patalganga site has announced a Voluntary Retirement Scheme on
October 5, 2008 as part of its normal cost optimization exercise and over 400
people had opted for the same."
