News about Suzlon
Energy Limited
The
media had reports that Suzlon Energy Limited is in
process to sell stake of its domestic manufacturing facilities.
The
Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information
reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of
the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company.
Suzlon
Energy Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "The company, as
part of its deleveraging strategy, has set the goal to rise up to US$ 400 million
through sale of non-critical assets, which was disclosed as part of our key
priorities for FY 14, in our investor / analyst presentation dated 30th May
2013, which is available for all on our website www.suzlon.com. However, while
we have identified these assets and divestment plans are in progress, these are
not yet crystallised and it would therefore be
premature to announce the specifics.
With
reference to the media reports, it remains our policy to not comment on what is
market rumour and speculation."
