The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company.

Religare Enterprises has vide its letter inter-alia stated, “We are not aware of any information/reason which could explain the movement of the Company's scrip mentioned in the letter. Religare Enterprises Limited ( Company ), as the holding company for a large, diversified financial services group, keeps exploring various strategic alternatives from time to time, including raising primary capital for funding growth. On July 31, 2014, the Board of Directors and subsequently on September 11, 2014 the Shareholders of REL had approved raising of funds for an amount not exceeding Rs. 1,000 crores through issuance of equity or equity linked shares, which was appropriately disclosed by us to the stock exchanges. We continue to proactively evaluate all options which can fulfill this and other strategic priorities of the Company and liaise with potential investors for the same. However, at this point in time, there is no further disclosable event/information. We shall make appropriate public disclosures in accordance with the prevalent laws as and when there is a disclosable event.”
