News about HCL Infosystems Limited

The media had reports that HCL Infosystems Limited has won Rs 2200 crore contract from the Unique ID Authority of India.

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company.

HCL Infosystems Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "We wish to clarify that our Company has not made any statement in this regard. We also wish to clarify that our Company is one of the shortlisted candidates amongst all the bidders in the UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) project. The confirmation of winning the contract is not yet received by the Company."
