News about IDFC Limited

The media had reports "IDFC Likely To Pick Up Stake in Future Group's Payment Bank".

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company.

IDFC Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "In this connection, we would like to clarify that IDFC has neither made any investment nor made any firm commitment to invest in the Payment Bank of the Future Group unconditionally.

However, we would like to mention that IDFC and Mr. Biyani are coming together to build an alliance, to facilitate which, IDFC may acquire a small equity stake in Future's payment bank, subject to its receiving a license from the RBI and subject to IDFC's own internal Board approvals."
