media had reports that Phillips Carbon Black Limited may buy a unit of
The
Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information
reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of
the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.
Phillips
Carbon Black Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "The Company
is always exploring opportunities for growth both organic and inorganic. We are
also aware of the divestment process of Evonik's Carbon Black operations. We
have not taken any decision in this regard. We shall immediately inform the
Stock Exchanges as and when any decision is taken in this regard."
